I was recently watching some videos online about lighting for nude photos, and I saw several tutorials using strip lights, long narrow softboxes, for lighting. Well, I looked them up online, and found prices starting at $50. Well, I can’t afford that right now, so I looked around the apartment and found some materials, and built my own makeshift softbox for about $5 in materials. These are some of the photos taken with this DIY project.
Unlike last year, when I had my first photo shoot shortly after midnight on New Year’s Eve, I got off to a bit slower start this year. However, it was a great photo shoot. I decided to go back to the fingerpaint idea that I first tried a couple of years ago. Here are some of the photos from my first shoot of 2018.
2017 has been a good year for me as far as photo shoots. I managed at least 1 photo shoot a month. I’ve gotten some great photos of my wife, and I had a chance to work with some amazing young women from the area. Overall, I took more than 1000 pictures in 2017. Here are some of the best. Over the next few days, I’ll be putting together a couple of Kindle e-books with some more of my best from last year.
I plan to keep on shooting in 2018, and possibly make a couple of trips to work with some professional models that I’ve wanted to work with for years. If you’d like to help me raise the funds for travel and to pay models, you can buy prints of my photos here. Thank you for your support.
